Abandoned House in Searsport, Maine
Taken 02.27.2015 An abandoned house along Route 1 in Searsport, Maine. This house is showing serious signs of dilapidation from the roof cave-in on the left hand side to obvious foundational upheavals. Sitting not far from the main highway, it's been photographed by many photographers. The history on this house: A sea captain, Captain Joseph Loomis Park first owned it. It was built between 1830-1840. Then it was sold to Angus Holmes, who owned a canning factory in the neighbouring town of Stockton Springs. Then it was owned by Ruth Allen who eventually sold it to the current owner, Douglas Brown. An eccentric man, Douglas Brown has filled it with junk and left it to decay.PC:311.352
