Circle Standing Bundled Noshi

【Maru ni tachi tabane noshi】Noshi crest. 'Noshi' refers to thinly sliced and extended abalone meat, originally called 'awabi noshi.' It was used as a ceremonial dish and as a decorative accompaniment to congratulatory gifts. When wrapped in folded paper, it was called 'ori noshi,' and when bundled without wrapping, it was called 'taba noshi.' The use of 'noshi' in celebrations is believed to be related to its pronunciation being associated with the concept of 'extension' or 'elongation.' It is a symbol with auspicious significance (according to "Japanese Crests" by Noda Yusuke). The design was primarily created based on "Mon Den" (2017.4.4).
