The image for this canvas was taken at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Scanning Electron Microscope Laboratory. The picture is a highly magnified view of a piece of metal pipe, showing detail that is not possible to see with the unaided eye. On this image you can start to see features on the order of nanometers. At the UAB SEM lab we investigate the infinity of tiny things, this artwork is an simply one instance of that. By buying this item, you are directly supporting the work of the Scanning Electron Microscopy Laboratory at UAB, furthering science, and encouraging the exploration of the infinity of tiny things.
