About This Design
a circular arrow stationery
[Marumatonariya] mato-mon (Mato-matoya). Mato means Mado or Mado (author's note: Circle). Targets of bows and guns. The Tori-yamon was used as a trade name and trademark for a merchant house, in order to bring good luck to the people. The Kamon was established in the early-modern times (Kosaku ITO's "Japanese Crest") / The Mato used in the pattern is thought to have been used in yabusame from the shape of a square corner ...The Mato became Kamon with a nostalgic meaning and a auspicious meaning for the merchant family from the 'hit' point of view ("Kamon no Jiten" written by Taizo TAKASAWA)
