The division was renowned for its hardiness and combat effectiveness, especially in North Africa and Europe, and for its ability to command amphibious assaults. Their heroics in battles like the Battle of Normandy and their pivotal role in Operation Torch are documented in history. Using the familiar shoulder insignia of the infantry, this design honours the lengthy history of the 9th Infantry Division. To commemorate the division's long history of service, wear it with pride.
