98% chimp T-Shirt

Humans and chimps share more than 98% of their DNA. That means genetically, we and chimps are identical in all of our genetic make up in all but a little less than 2%. We are more closely related to chimps than mice are to rats. A LOT more as it turns out. More even than horses are to donkeys, wolves are to foxes, cheetahs are to leopards. Even more than small mouth bass are to large mouth bass. So the next time somebody tells you that they didn't come from monkeys (apes actually), you can tell them that not only did we come from apes, we are apes, just like bass are fish, leopards are felines, foxes are canines, and mice are rodents.
