Memphis Style was developed in the 1980s as a push back against the formulaic designs at the time. It is one of the most instantly recognizable design styles. It is best known for its use of bright neon, primary and pastel colors, geometric shapes, and bold, repetitive patterns, most of which do not match and tend to clash very badly.
