An old timer once told me that this type of implement was hooked to a team of 6 or 8 horses. The driver then went from farm to farm, grading the roads. Young horses in need of training were swapped into and out of the team during the day. The newbies quickly learned how to pull alongside the experienced horses. At the end of the day, each farm had a upgraded driveway. In addition, all the young horses in the neighbourhood had learned how to pull!” Campground Host and Photographer Vickie Zimmerman lives on our 440-acre Cedar Mountain Farm in North Idaho. Surrounded by mountains and hay fields and wild flora and fauna, the forested farm offers dramatic clouds, scenic vistas, a rustic pond and rippling creek, and outdoor family adventures. Vickie is at home with rabbits, chickens, horses, sheep and goats, and loves to introduce them to guests of all ages. She always has her camera in hand.
