ABOUT THIS PICTURE: Campground host and avid photographer Vickie says, “I was walking through the campground and spied one single wild rose bloom. I thought to take a picture and in so doing, discovered this wonderful spider. What followed was a five-to-six hour attempt to sneak up on him to snap a portrait. He was elusive and reactive. Noise of a phone text coming in or the slightest shift in my footing sent him scurrying. As day turned to evening, he finally turned and posed face on for the paparazzi!! I thought he smiled at me when I said ‘cheese’." || Vickie lives on our 440-acre Cedar Mountain Farm in North Idaho. Surrounded by mountains and hay fields and wild flora and fauna, the forested farm offers dramatic clouds, scenic vistas, a rustic pond and rippling creek, and outdoor family adventures. Vickie is at home with rabbits, chickens, horses, sheep and goats, and loves to introduce them to guests of all ages.
