The 4th Infantry Division is a highly adaptable and combat-ready force, consisting of a Headquarters Battalion, three brigade combat teams, a Combat Aviation Brigade, a Sustainment Brigade, and Division Artillery. This division, which got its nickname from a play on the Roman numeral IV (four), is known as the Ivy Division because, like ivy plants, it has a strong and resilient past. The division's history of brilliance and versatility is honoured in this design. Wear it with honour to honour the courageous Ivy Division soldiers who have continuously shown their dedication to protecting freedom and maintaining the highest standards of military service.
