21st Century Tychonic Solar System Poster

Anachronism at its finest. It's Tycho Brahe's 16th-century geoheliocentric model of the Solar System, updated to include a whole mess of planets, moons, and other interesting things that we've discovered since Tycho's day. This piece is intended as science-inspired art rather than science itself... the chart has its fair share of inaccuracies and oversimplifications made in the name of composition. The explanation at the top reads, "Les planètes principales / Modèle de Tycho Brahe à la fin du 16e siècle - Objets connus au début du 21e siècle". At the bottom of the chart are some selected facts about some of the larger objects. Objects depicted include: Earth, at the centre The Sun, Moon, and one unlabeled pseudo-sattelite, around the Earth Mercury and Venus, around the Sun Mars and its two moons One near-Earth asteroid Vesta, Ceres, and three other unlabeled asteroids Jupiter, the Galilean moons, and two Trojan asteroids Saturn and seven moons Uranus and five moons Neptune and three moons One centaur One short-period comet Quaoar and three other cubewanos Pluto, Charon, and two other plutinos Eris and its known moon Sedna
