This real bewdy of a Camaro Up At Rocky Ridge For Sunset is so shiny we had to tone it down a bit so it wouldn’t out-do the sun. And the sound from this Street Rod – outstanding noise from that thumping 396 cubic inch Chevy mill – woof! ~:0) As much as I’d like to call this ride a HOT ROD – I’m afraid the Old Skool bunch would disagree. It’s sure no Rat Rod – though with fifteen years of stand out in the sun and weather it could be well on its way. Some might want to apply the moniker Custom Car to this Ground-Beater. But I’m gonna settle all arguments on this machine and call it just what it is. This 1969 SS-396 Camaro Up At Rocky Ridge In The Texas Hill Country For Sunset is a Street Rod plain and simple – so there! What’s a Street Rod U might ask? I reckon a Street Rod is a souped-up light-weight auto with a powerful engine set up for street racing. Street Racing? That’s just what it sounds like. The contestants cruise the main drags of their town looking for a run against a villainous rival with his (or her) own Street Rod. When they find one another it’s Katy-Bar-The-Door at the next red light. Or as we have seen ‘em do out here in the sticks – a meet-up out on a long, lonely stretch of black-top where the best driver and machine thrill the locals and scatter the livestock – Now that’s fun ~:0) VivaChas!
