1944 Captain Future cover print Medium Gift Bag
Last week at auction I got a box full of 1930s and ‘40s women’s magazines. At the bottom of the box I was astonished to see an old Captain Future magazine, in astonishing condition. Astonishment all around. According to the ‘net, Captain Future series of comic books began life in 1940 and ran until 1944. The character then appeared in other comics series, mainly Startling Stories, Amazing Stories, and Thrilling Wonder Stories. Note that the cover art looks equally marvellous - and astonishing - on all kinds of EVERYTHING, including gift bags. Note that the image appears on both sides of the bag. Which is nice.
