1940s Kitchen Pattern w/Yellow Teapots Standard Apron

In the 1970's when women began entering the workplace, by choice, & the opportunity to be financially independent of our husbands, we rejected anything & everything that reflected a world where women were relegated only to the tasks, interests, & thoughts expected of "the little woman". Now, we have nothing left to prove to the world & it's time to liberate ourselves from old biases that caused us to throw out the baby w/ the bathwater. One of those symbolic sacrifices was purely aesthetic & now whenever I glimpse a curtain or apron from the 1940's at a Flea Market, I find the comforting smells & feel of Grandma's kitchen flooding back to me. So pleasant, I wanted to share the experience by re-creating that look & feel on this custom-made Apron.
