About This Design
1930s Oviatt Building logo Throw Pillow
This design comes directly from the 1930s business card of an employee of "Oviatt's", the luxury haberdashery that occupied the Oviatt Building's first three floors from 1928 to 1966. The 1927 logo was designed by Rene Lalique and James Oviatt to represent the Oviatt Building. It depicts two angels (Los Angeles, "The City of the Angels") holding a California mission bell. The number "617" refers to the building's address: 617 South Olive Street. Designed by the architectural firm of Walker & Eisen, the Oviatt Building was completed in May, 1928.

Love the fabric and the vibrant colours. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the pillows were slightly smaller than 41 x 41 cm. I was disappointed with that. The printing turned out excellent!
