Jigsaw Puzzle displaying the 1916 Proclamation of Ireland. The 1916 Proclamation was a document issued by the Irish Volunteers and Irish Citizen Army during the 1916 Easter Rising in Ireland. In it, the Provisional Government of the Irish Republic, proclaimed Ireland's independence from the United Kingdom. The proclamation was read by Pádraig Pearse outside the General Post Office in the heart of Dublin. All seven signatories of the document were executed by the British State. The 1916 Easter Rising lead to the eventual independence of the Republic of Ireland.
