This map includes thumbnail photo of Mission Santa Ynez and some other landmarks; The “Hamilton’s Illustrated Auto Roadmap” book had 200 strip maps of California and included small photos of landmarks along the way. In today’s world of super highways, the instructions on these maps seem comical but to the motor pioneer of 1914, they were very valuable. Published before the days of AAA books and guides. A fun reprint of automobile history!
