1905 Vintage European Swimming Fish wallpaper Poster

The swimming fish wallpaper design was created by Latvian textile artist Julijs Straume (1874–1970). After his studies in St. Petersburg, he obtained a scholarship that enabled him to live in Paris from 1905 to 1907. During his stay, he created the most beautiful textile and wallpaper designs of his career, including this lovely arrangement. Swirling fishes pattern in a typical Art Nouveau style in warm bronze, blue and yellow tones. To honour and commemorate the artist, the artwork has a caption of his name and date at the bottom centre of the frame.
