【くろだふじともえ】藤紋／備前・播磨は室町幕府の四職、赤松家守護の地で・・・赤松の有力な一族で西播磨に勢力を持っていた小寺家に仕えた黒田職隆（もとたか）は、主君に見込まれて、その養女をめあわされ、名字も変えて小寺となった。そしてできた子が官兵衛、のちの孝高（号して如水）である。信長の天下布武の大業が進んで中国経略の段階に入ると、秀吉の前進基地に、姫路城が提供されてた。姫路は職隆が城将として、がんらいその小寺家のため預かっていたものである。後年「黒田藤巴」の名で知られる「藤巴」も、この小寺家から出ている。（高橋賢一著「大名家の家紋」）
