【あいづあおい】会津葵は紋帳等によって、蕊（紋章学では葉脈を蕊と呼ぶ）数が異なっている。「紋之泉」「定紋の研究」「紋章大集成」「紋典」「紋の志をり」は１９蕊、「江戸紋章集」「平安紋鑑」は２１蕊、「日本紋章大図鑑」は１７蕊、「紋章の再発見」は１５蕊で表現されているが、皆の共通点は蕊の配置が河骨紋スタイル（蕊すなわち葉脈になぞらえた線は、葉脈の主脈から左右に発している）で表現されていることである。本図案は１９蕊タイプのものを参考に作図した（２０１３/３/２１作図）／また、「定紋の研究」にはこうある。 ・・・會津葵は大名（二十三萬石　保科姓、松平と葵紋を受）松平家の紋にて、他と異なり細線の葉の葵也
