【くよう】星紋（九曜紋） 九曜とは、古代インドにおいて、卜占に用いられた星で、羅睺（らご）・土曜・水曜・金曜・日曜・火曜・計都（けつ）・月曜・木曜をいう。これに仏を配して、羅睺を不動明王、土曜を聖観音、水曜を弥勒（みろく）、金曜を阿弥陀、日曜を千手観音、火曜を虚空蔵、計都を釈迦、月曜を勢至、木曜を薬師とした。この九曜の形相を集めて描いたものを九曜曼荼羅という。（沼田頼輔著「日本紋章学」）
