【まるにひだりさんがいまつ】松紋。
・・老松を象った松紋は、その枝を級状に形成する。その級数は三級を普通とする。それを三階松と称し、また三枝（さいぐさ）松ともいう。三枝部氏がこの紋を用いたために名づけたもので、その名字にちなんだものである。そしてこの紋形をした枝には右方にかたよったものと左方にかたよったものとがある・・左にかたよったものは左三階という・・（沼田頼輔著「日本紋章学」）
