While driving cross-country in a Prius, I discovered that its cruise control isn't quite, well, cruise control. You cut the cruise control to move over and let somebody pass, pull out behind them, hit resume, and WHAM! the speed surges and suddenly you're on the other guy's bumper - the fast guy - the guy who was passing you. Steve Wozniak seems to have this problem, too. He reportedly called Toyota and never got through to anybody who cared (partly because his iPhone dropped the calls, twice), eventually leading to a public comment and media interest in Wozniak’s “wild” ride. Woz tried to explain why a rich guy drives a Prius, thusly: “I have expensive cars but prefer to drive my Segway and Prius's for many reasons.” He did not share the reasons. (source: jalopnik.com) Eventually, after putting Woz through the public humiliation of admitting that he drives not just a prius but a segway, too, Toyota FINALLY listened - and borrowed Woz's car. (Toyota is beginning to remind me of my brother-in-law – messes up big time, won't take calls, won't return calls, then, out of the blue, you hear from him, and he just wants to borrow your car.) Toyota eventually admitted to having a software problem, but not because of Wozniak. No, no, it was their idea all along. Typical Toyota-in-law.
