The Bunny On Mars – What is it?
When the lander carrying the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity landed on Mars and the first photos of the environment at Meridiani Planum were produced, a mysterious object was detected on the Martian surface and named “The Bunnyâ€, complete with a pair of bunny-like ears. After being photographed several times The Bunny moved about 3 feet to a new location, undoubtedly pushed by the Martian winds, and then took up residence under the lander itself.
