This sparrow perched on the branch of a Russian willow is one of a dozen species of sparrows which live in the Aleutian Islands. This photo was taken on Unalaska Island. The sparrow in this picture has a slight crest over the eye as well as a yellow stripe which would help to identify its species as not all sparrows found on Unalaska Island have a crest or this type of colouring over the eye.
