This vintage public health poster has been restored by us for colour, contrast, and clarity. It implores sailors of the time to stay away from "loose" women that could give them venereal disease. Notice the woman standing under the street light, plying her trade, and how anxious the young man is to get over to her. "A Sailor Doesn't Have to Prove He's a Man," the poster says. "Remember, there's no medicine for regret."
