Fort St. Catherine is one of Bermuda's many forts and was constructed in the early 1600’s in St. George’s Parish. It was a warm day with a clear blue sky blending into the blue green waters. There was very little wind, and the surface of the water was calm and still. The rocky shoreline highlights the crystal clear water, as the fort juts out into the Atlantic. It is commonly thought that Bermuda is in the Caribbean, however it actually lies in the Atlantic Ocean. Its tropical like weather is due to the Islands proximity to the Gulf Stream.
