Foro di Traiano Panorama by moonrisings
This image is low resolution for better viewing on the web. The print you'll get has sharp detail. Panorama view of The Foro di Traiano or Trajan's Forum was built on the order of Emperor Trajan with the spoils of war from the conquest of Dacia, which ended in 106. The Forum was inaugurated in 112. To build this monumental complex, extensive excavations were required: workers eliminated the sides of the Quirinal and Capitoline (Campidoglio) Hills, which closed the valley occupied by the Imperial forums toward the Campus Martius. Photography by Minerva Bloom. CUSTOMIZE IT: choose your size, change the border colour or add your own text!
