Totally agree with you!
We have a similar problem in the UK. Folk forget that Britain is a 'mongrel nation' and that we are who we are today because of the Nordic and Germanic races (Anglo-Saxon comes from the Angles and the Saxons from the continent), as well as Indians, Pakistanis, Africans, Celts, Irish and so on. There is probably no 'pure-blood' Brit around!
