Environmental Conservation - Rain Forest stickers by Rebecca_Reeder
Photographic evidence of what happens to equatorial rainforest once the natural vegetation is removed and rains wash away the thin top soil - to leave mucky sand pits where virgin rainforest used to be. This shows how thin the actual topsoil is.

Rain forest destruction accounts for about a quarter of global greenhouse gas emissions. There's also the issue of endangered wildlife whose habitat is irrevocably destroyed.

You can be part of an international project to replant trees in previously destroyed areas of rain forest at: www.orangutan.org

It really is shocking to see in person.
And you can feel the temperature difference immediately, Shirley. You step out of a moist warm rain forest and are suddenly in a barren desert of white sand.

Everyone needs to see this!
A horrible example of what human greed can do!

Thank you to the customer in Seattle.
I sincerely appreciate your purchases! I ordered some of these for myself as well. The scene was shocking in person.

I gave this five stars, but they would not show up....I will try again later!

This is sad...I hate that the rain forests are being destroyed...Man truly is ruining the earth...as well as the future of the wildlife....
