Diana - aka Artemis - Roman / Greek Goddess. One of my personal favourite goddesses (if one can have such a thing!). Often shown as a moon goddess (I've given her a moon circlet) and with a Stag, I've shown her in a quiet moment somewhere in a forest glade. I love this painting, I spent a lot of time on the lighting and layout with the deer, etc. Ever since I saw so many paintings, gardens, and sculptures dedicated to her in Paris this spring I thought I should paint her myself. (Pssst - and in case you can't tell from the pic, there is no actual nudity in this painting - careful posing and long hair, lol).
