A day in which anyone who chooses to, is engulfed in silence and doesn't speak one word for the entire day. To no one... not a friend, teacher, or anybody. Its a form in sticking up for what your believe in... without being provocative in a violent way... Its a day for honouring and sticking up for all of those who have been hurt because they are either gay, lesbian, bi, transexual, or discriminated against becuase of anything(race, sex, sexuality, or any difference in a person). Its a day to be noticed by everyone and show them what reality is... and what is happening to so many kids in this world... The silence represents the silence in which millions of kids face everyday. The silence of themselves holding in who they really are, because they're too afraid of what the world will look at them as. This day lets all of them know... "hey, we understand..." Of course there are the small exceptions for unpassable things. If you accidentally say something... its not the end of the world. Just be cautious. And if you have to, you may take this to your advantage... if you have to do a speech, or something of that sort. Do it. You may do things that involve speech that may of be in high importance. Its just everyday talking in general is what we mean. Its all on how you interpret it, and as long as you think your spreading the message by what your doing. You may be a little lenient on your talking... or you may be very strict. Its how you think you should do it in order to spread what the true meaning is. This is NOT about gay rights. This is against the bullying and harassment of gays in schools. And that it should be stopped. If you'd like to help with the cause... then please, join us in this protest saying.... gay bashing is wrong, and should be stopped. Wear any peice of clothing... a badge... a peice of paper... or pretty much anything on your body that says... "Day of Silence". And make a huge difference... without saying a word.
