Posters and prints are created at a minimum of 150 ppi (pixels per inch).
Here are a few examples of print dimensions and our recommendations for image sizes:
- 8" x 10" = 1200 pixels by 1500 pixels (Minimum print size)
- 8.5" x 11" = 1275 pixels by 1650 pixels
- 11" x 14" = 1650 pixels by 2100 pixels
- 16" x 20" = 2400 pixels by 3000 pixels
- 12" x 36" = 1800 pixels by 5400 pixels
- 24" x 24" = 3600 pixels by 3600 pixels
- 24" x 36" = 3600 pixels by 5400 pixels
- 46" x 200" = 6900 pixels by 30000 pixels (Maximum print size)
If your image is bigger than these sizes (in pixels), it'll turn out even better since it will be printed at an even higher resolution than the minimum.
Zazzle offers image wrapping for all canvas prints. This means that your canvas will be printed to the edges and stretched over a wooden frame, wrapping a small amount of your image over the edge and around the sides and back. For this reason, the optimal image should be sized a bit (on all four sides) larger than your desired print size to allow for wrapping.
Designed for permanence, your canvas print will last for 75 years or more. To ensure that your canvas print will be enjoyed for many years to come, be sure to care for it properly.
There are many ways to ensure that your canvas prints will last for over 75 years. First, be sure to keep your canvas clean. Use a light feather duster or fine bristled brush to remove dust and other debris. We don’t advise that you use a damp cloth or sponge as this may damage the protective coating. Even though we use premium archival inks and quality frames, we do recommend that you hang your canvas prints away from direct sunlight or heat, such as radiators and fireplaces. Follow these small precautions, and you could extend the lifespan of your canvas print.
Wrapped canvas comes in 0.75", 1.5", and 2.5" frame widths to fit any home or office. Please note that the larger the frame width you select the larger amount of your image will be wrapped around the frame. To ensure the smallest amount of image wrapping be sure to select the .75” frame width
