Crossed Texas and Gonzales Flags Round Sticker
In September of 1835, as Texan unrest grew, the Mexican military requested the return of a small cannon given to the town of Gonzales as protection against Indian raids. The settlers refused, instead hoisting a flag depicting the cannon and the challenge "Come and take it," and on October 2, found themselves engaged in the first battle of the Texas Revolution.

VEXILLOPHILE offers flat flags and waving, usually available with the name of the place -- often in the native language as well as English! Of course, if you'd rather leave them guessing, you can get your flags plain! So be sure to look over our designs before making your final selection!
