I dunno...
If you read Judith Jarvis Thomson's "A Defense of Abortion", and you add to her 'violinist' thought experiment that you have agreed for some reason to accept the risk that you might end up hooked up to the violinist, I'm not sure if you can defend the right to take another life...if the fetus is actually a living person. (If you haven't read Thomson's article, none of that will make sense to you...the general concept is this: the knowledge that sex *might* lead to pregnancy may invalidate a woman's claim that her right to choose what happens to her body supercedes the fetus' right to life. It's an interesting article.) Sorry to post such a long comment...I've been doing that all night. I'll go away now. Nice shirt.
