Captain's Bay, Unalaska Island Post Card

Captain's Bay is located on Unalaska Island just south of Dutch Harbour, Alaska. The U.S.S. Northwestern, a ship which was sunk in WWII, was moved to the end of the bay out of the way of marine traffic. The bow of the boat, which has been designated a historical relic, is still visible above the water line. The propellor was removed from the stern and placed in Unalaska's memorial park as a monument.
