Doug LeDoux, fresh from a ten-year prison sentence, is determined to lead the straight life. But when the working world isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, the temptation to stray from the respectable path is great. Reunited with his old pal Sal and his girl Dolly, Doug falls back into his old ways. An impulsive grab for an unguarded bicycle and Doug is seduced back into the life of crime he had fought so hard to resist. With Dolly cheering them on every step of the way, Doug and Sal soon find themselves at the centre of an organized effort to steal every bicycle in the city. But with their old boss and the law tracking their every move it seems that Doug and Sal’s foray into crime might be more trouble than it’s worth. And just when it seems that all roads lead to the cold prison cell or a flashing gun barrel, Doug and Sal learn that friendship is a commodity that simply can’t be stolen.
